happy accidents...

I hate following the crowd and while we’re at it let’s add a few more things to the list of things I hate. But really I hate today.  Today made me so frustrated.  People I don’t even want to buy me valentine’s have gone out of their way to do so.  And all I can do is get mad because I don’t want them to buy me anything, because I don’t need to be impressed by them.  This is all making no sense.  Just know that I only think valentine’s should be provided when there is a flame there to kindle.  That is the reader’s digest version of my feelings.  

I met the most wonderful little girl today.  Her name was Alyssa.  She came with her mom to the bank to make a deposit.  She put her little piggy bank up on the counter and said I need to make a deposit with her cute head sticking up just barely past the counter.  Then she told me how she’s been saving and only taking a little out because she loves books (a passion I can appreciate).  Then she asked if we had any Wells Fargo pencil sharpeners because her best friend at school used to have one, but it broke and she wanted to give him a new one.  Only a really good best bestie does that kind of thing.  I said I would go find one.  Instead I found her a bag of goodies and a light up yo-yo one for her and one for her friend.  We had a better conversation than I had had with most adults all day.  I didn’t even care that I had 150 loose pennies.  She was worth it.  I was smiling. I like smiling.
